Here you can discover a world of dance classes, singing lessons and musical theatre tuition, as you pursue your dreams with the one and only TECDA!

TECDA was established in 2006 by its founder and owner Emma Coombs. An established ISTD approved dance school also offering LAMDA qualifications to singing students.

Excellent facilities

Set within our own purpose refurbished premises, we have two permanent main dance studios, private changing rooms, a generous reception area and a large free car park.

Qualified teaching

All TECDA teachers are expertly trained, highly experienced and fully qualified.

ISTD certified in Ballet, Tap and Modern Dance.

Convenient location

Ideally located to provide dance classes for Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton, Spenvalley, Hightown, Birstall, Gomersal, Dewsbury and indeed the whole of West Yorkshire!

TECDA SHOWTIME!

Each year we produce a spectacular annual show and also host two ISTD exam sessions. We are able to offer real opportunities with external dance companies and we have a number of prominent guest teachers visiting throughout the year for masterclasses.

Many of our students have gone on to full time training at some of the UK’s finest establishments, including White Lodge, Central School of Ballet, Urdang, Bird College and many more.

DANCE, THEATRE AND SINGING CLASSES AT TECDA

Our Classical Ballet, Tap dancing and Modern dance classes are all ISTD (The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) approved classes.

Our Singing and Drama classes are LAMDA (The London Academy Of Music and Dramatic Art) approved classes.

Classes are available from age 3 years and upwards.
